RenderFocus collects zero data. No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reports, no network calls. Everything runs locally on your machine.
None. RenderFocus does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information, usage data, or system telemetry. The application operates entirely offline with no network capabilities.
RenderFocus requires the following system-level access to function:
RenderFocus installs a privileged helper daemon (com.renderfocus.helper) via Apple's SMAppService API. This daemon runs with root privileges solely to execute taskpolicy(2) commands for thread scheduling. It does not access files, network, or any user data. The daemon can be removed at any time from System Settings → Login Items.
RenderFocus uses no third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or external services of any kind. There are no embedded trackers, no Firebase, no Sentry, no Amplitude — nothing.
RenderFocus does not write any data to disk beyond what macOS requires for application operation (e.g., the LaunchDaemon plist registered via SMAppService). No logs, no databases, no configuration files are created.
RenderFocus does not auto-update. New versions are distributed manually via the official website. Since there is no network access, the application cannot check for updates on its own.
